Prayer at St Johns

It has been said that ‘prayer is the powerhouse of the Church’ a sentiment which I

fully agree with. Here at St John’s our prayer life is very important

to us and for many years a small and faithful group of parishioners have been

praying daily for the need of the parish and those whose names have been given

to them. In recent times this group has become a branch of the Guild of St Raphael.

As a result of this group a prayer ministry has been made available every Sunday

after the 10.30 service. All are welcome to pray with us for themselves, a friend, a

difficult situation or indeed for anything that requires prayer. We believe that all we

do should be underpinned with prayer.

I hope that as we strengthen our prayer life all else will follow as God’s will for us

is revealed.
