Just Care Uganda

St Johns supports the Lent Uganda Project and this year sent 27 boxes of soup, 33 boxes of plasters, 11 bandage packs, 40 packs of toothbrushes, 56 tubes of toothpaste, 17 antiseptic tubes, 11 tins of baby talc and various other items.

Peter Partington, Director of Just Care, assures us they will be put to good use.

The new Wellspring Medical Centre is now complete and the medical supplies we sent will be used there.

Christian Aid

St Johns collected £1,526 this year for Christian Aid.

All of the Roads in Meols were covered and raised £1.484, with a further £42 being donated from our Coffee Morning Fund, in total this is almost £300 more than last year.

On behalf of all those in the Third World who will benefit from these gifts, many many thanks.

Last year the seven churches in Hoylake and Meols raised £5,155.00 and we are delighted to announce this year has seen a considerable increase to £5,985.31.
